I have a degree in Combined Studies and a Master’s degree in Applied Social Science. I qualified in Social Work in 1990 and worked for the Probation Service for 12 years as a practitioner, group work leader and trainer. I trained in self-hypnosis in 1992 and then as a Hypnotherapist. I am also a fully qualified professional trainer and a practitioner of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), sometimes known as ‘tapping’.

I have a degree in Applied Social Sciences, an MSc in forensic mental health from St. George’s (medical school), University of London, and qualified in Social Work in 1989. I worked in the Probation Service for 12 years both as a practitioner and a manager, subsequently for the Home Office, Department of Health and Ministry of Justice. I have also been the Chief Executive of a national charity. In 1992 I visited a Hypnotherapist myself and this led to such profound changes in my life that I subsequently trained in self-hypnosis and then as a Hypnotherapist. I am qualified in the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), sometimes known as ‘tapping’.
